Remix and memory as educational and creative tools
We have given a course on remix and memory in collaboration with PLANEA network at the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía. The objectives of the meeting are:
- To know and deepen in Art and School projects throughout the Spanish state.
- To get to know artistic and musical practices where the archive and collective creation are valued.
- To transfer useful and practical methodological knowledge for the development of a more inclusive school
- To think and develop future perspectives for the improvement of education using artistic practices that have to do with memory and remixing.
The training sessions were complemented with two round tables in which the aim was to open the reflection and project the debate to the city incorporating people involved in the process from the UPO, the IAPH and other educational centers. The meeting was aimed at students, teachers, and social and cultural agents interested in valuing artistic practices within the school and in the spaces known as "cultural mediation".
Starting from the premise of situating the music, we proposed two possibilities to work with the Cartuja monastery where the course took place: to place the sound work on a real map or to do it on an imaginary one.
Thank you very much to all of you for participating and for the debates we shared.
Thanks also to the International University of Andalusia for the bet and the effort to make the course in person.

sound projects
One of the groups created "Las vidas de la Cartuja" where through the body the sound dimension of the different historical uses of the building was explored (project created by Pedro Alarcón, Alba Cacheda, Miriam Chiva, Vega Jimenez and Laura Valor).
The other group, on an imaginary map, created "Dum Volvitur Orbis": a narrative sound exploration about 3 nuns and 2 monks with masks in 2020 (sound project created by Teresa Aramburu, Concha Laverán, Alex Peña, Dayana Rivera and Álvaro Valls).
