Musical life stories in the neighborhood
Continuing with our idea of the journey, this time we decided to go out to listen to the world, to listen to our neighborhood and to discover the musical diversity that surrounds us as well as to discover the relationship of the students with their local community. Last year we discovered who we are and what our peers are like through the feelings and memories associated with the music present in our lives, this year we wanted to go out into the neighborhood, and see what stories the people and groups who live and work there hide, creating an intergenerational dialogue with each other through the shared stories of musical life.
The first thing we did was to meet and decide with the help of maps of the neighborhood, which places and people could be interesting for the interviews, this task was not easy, there were many places we wanted to visit.

Course 2017-18
This third and last year of the project at CEIP San José Obrero we have been recording new Musical Life Stories in the Macarena neighborhood.
The 6th grade students have chosen people and places to conduct the interviews to capture the diversity that exists in the neighborhood where they live. Gaelle Ochoa, a sociocultural animator who is doing her internship at the school, has been helping us in the whole process.
After working on several places and possibilities in the first sessions with the maps, these are the 8 interviews that have been carried out.
