Teatro Central 25/26
Students from Néstor Almendros, Tartessos, San Jerónimo and Carmen Laffón high schools have immersed themselves in the shows of the 2025-26 season of the Teatro Central to explore them from a new perspective.
The companies of this season have shared with the students the sound atmosphere of their shows and the music that has inspired their work. With this starting point, the students have created their own sound pieces, remixing the materials received with music that they themselves composed or selected. The resulting archive is presented together with a series of portraits by photographer Victoria Brause, who puts faces to those who have made this experience possible.

Workshop Development
The creation process has been articulated around two working sessions with the students during the month of November, one at the Teatro Central and the other at their high schools.
111 boys and girls from IES Carmen Laffón (San José de La Rinconada), IES Tartessos (Camas), IES San Jerónimo (Seville) and IES Néstor Almendros (Tomares), working in groups of 2 or 3 people, have created 47 sound pieces based on the sound materials that each company has sent and remixing them with their music or sounds chosen from their approach to the work.
Presentation of the Sound Pieces
The pieces were presented in a live session at the Sala Manuel Llanes on December 2, where we were enjoying the incredible work done by the students, but the process has not ended here...
We have been able to develop the laboratory before the theater season starts, so that all the pieces created can be heard in the hall of the theater before its premiere. But the most beautiful thing is that each class group that has participated has been given a voucher so that students can attend the shows they have worked on.
We would love to be able to compile the experiences of the students after seeing the shows and weave those responses with the companies, whose response this season to the project has been of maximum generosity, sharing sound materials and their processes of musical creation...
