the Musical Life Stories (MLH) activity was designed for the second trimester of 5th grade, once remixing was introduced as a creative tool, the MLH would allow us to load specific songs with emotions and meaning and then be able to remix them.
The students work on their musical life stories, researching significant songs in their family contexts, and collecting photos and objects to tell us the story behind their song.
A song that is important to you in your life, or to someone in your family. why is it important? what memories does it bring back? what do you feel when you listen to it?
The students prepare and record an interview telling the story behind a song. Each group elaborates a collage landscape where each one creates a personal collage where you can listen to the recorded interview and their song. These stories are mixed with those of other classmates through graphic collage in the construction of group landscapes.
